The Southernettes’ Club is a women’s organization which has been in existence for over 50 years. During that time, we have supported numerous charities and individuals in our community by providing donations to St. Vincent de Paul, Breast Cancer Walk, MS Walk, Habitat for Humanity, Pink Hearts Fund, aiding families in need due to medical set-backs and emergencies, adopting abused children, less fortunate families and nursing homes during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, cooking for families at the Ronald McDonald House, ringing the bell for the Salvation Army at Christmastime, and donating money to The Biloxi First Scholarship Fund for educational assistance (Note:The Biloxi First Scholarship Fund provides grant monies for Teachers in the Biloxi School District) We also award several $500 book scholarships to selected local High School Seniors attending college in Mississippi. This year we were able to provide eleven scholarships to local students!! We participated in Comeback Coolers event to provide much needed supplies for the Kentucky flood victims.
